I've been on-again, off-again blogging since middle school, when my friend Alice and I used to design websites. I've recently decided to start blogging again because I thought it would be really neat to have a journal of all of the things that are happening in this crazy transition period between college and well, life.
Quick Update:
Will and I just graduated from Brown! A week before graduation, our daughter, Reagan Elizabeth Wray was born. She was 7 lbs and 3 oz. At her first pediatrician's visit 4 days later, she weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz (before making a dirty diaper though). Will just closed on a house that we bought near Providence College yesterday. He's been starting to renovate the 2nd floor with my parents the past couple of days and should be finishing up soon. This summer, I also have to complete BBO, which is an online version of Dartmouth's Tuck Business School's mini-MBA course for McKinsey. The course starts June 29th and lasts until August 3rd. I just hope that with caring for Reagan, it works out okay. I officially start work on October 21st, and Will starts law school sometime late August (unless he finds a job before then!). Finally, we're looking forward to Katie/Sam's wedding in late September!
This blog is called "Lifelong Startups," because I really like the idea of marriage/parenthood as a form of entrepreneurship. I wanted to chronicle Will's and my first attempt at parenting; more appropriately/accurately, I wanted to use this as a way to keep sane when it seems as if early parenting is a constant and repetitive cycle of feedings, diapering, napping, and trying to rock a crying baby who actually seems intent on being miserable. Also, I'm generally interested in entrepreneurship/business, so I hope to get a chance to discuss some of that as well.
